Getting Started 🚀

Welcome to TackleBot! Here's how to get started:

  1. Add TackleBot to your server using the "Invite Bot" button.
  2. Give TackleBot the right permissions - it needs permissions to send messages, use external emojis, add reactions, read message history, and potentially manage channels/messages/members if you plan to use moderation features.
  3. Start fishing with the /fish cast command!
  4. View help anytime with /help or specific guides like /help fishing

Note: TackleBot works in both server channels and direct messages (DMs).

  1. Invite TackleBot: Add the bot to your Discord server using the invite link.
  2. Check the Prefix: TackleBot primarily uses slash commands (/). Type / to see the list of available commands.
  3. Cast Your First Line: Use the /fish command to start fishing!
  4. Check Your Inventory: See what you've caught with /inventory.
  5. Sell Your Catch: Earn cash by selling fish using /sell [fish_name] or /sell all.

Fishing System Guide 🎣

Fishing is the core of TackleBot! Here's everything you need to know:

Fish and items come in different rarities, each with its own value and catch probability:

  • Junk ⚫ - Worthless items, reduced by luck.
  • Common 🟤 - Basic fish, low value.
  • Uncommon 🟢 - Better value.
  • Rare 🔵 - Valuable fish.
  • Legendary 🟡 - Very valuable, hard to find.
  • Mythic 🟣 - Extremely rare and valuable.
  • Chimerical 🌟 - The rarest fish of all.
  • Special Fish ✨ - Rare variants (e.g., Shimmering, Divine) with boosted stats and significantly higher value.
  • Seasonal Fish 🍂 - Appear only during specific real-world seasons.
  • Event Fish 🎉 - Limited-time fish available during special events.
  • Treasure Chests 📦 - Contain random coin amounts. Tiers include Wooden, Metal, Golden, Ancient, Mysterious.

Higher rarity fish are more valuable and give more XP, but are harder to catch! Luck upgrades help find better fish.

As you fish, you'll gain experience (XP) and level up:

  • XP is gained primarily from catching fish (rarer fish give more XP).
  • Completing challenges and achievements also grants XP.
  • Higher levels unlock:
    • Better base fishing rates and stats.
    • New shop upgrades and research options.
    • Access to new fishing locations.
    • Higher minimum values for Voter Chests.
  • Check your level, XP, and progress with /fish stats.

TackleBot keeps track of all the fish species you've discovered:

  • Access your collection via the "Fish Index" button on the /fish stats page.
  • Organized by rarity and location.
  • Shows your progress toward collecting every species.
  • View images, lore, stats, and records (biggest/smallest) for each fish.
  • Discover special seasonal and event variants.
  • Some fish are only available in specific locations or seasons.

Fish you catch come in different sizes, affecting their name and sometimes value:

  • Sizes are based on weight and length compared to the species' average.
  • Categories include: Baby, Small, Big, Adult, Massive, Colossal.
  • The size category is added to the fish's name (e.g., "Massive Common Carp").
  • Check your biggest and smallest catches in the Fish Index!

Compete with other fishers globally for top spots on the weekly leaderboards:

  • Categories include:
    • Fishing Level
    • Total Catches
    • Total Earnings
  • Weekly rewards for top performers:
    • 🥇 1st Place: 5 Leaderboard Champion Chests
    • 🥈 2nd Place: 2 Leaderboard Champion Chests
    • 🥉 3rd Place: 1 Leaderboard Champion Chest
  • Champion Chests contain high-value rewards like mythic/chimerical fish or rare chests!

Different locations offer unique fish species, rarity probabilities, and unlock requirements. Unlock new locations by purchasing the Explorer's Map upgrade via /fish buy explorer.

Tranquil Pond 🌿 (Level 0)

Starting location

A peaceful pond with mostly common fish. Perfect for beginners!

Boost: Common +10%

Rushing River 🏞️ (Explorer Lvl 1)

A flowing river with a better chance for uncommon fish.

Boost: Common +5%, Uncommon +10%, Rare +2%

Misty Lake 🌫️ (Explorer Lvl 2)

A foggy, mysterious lake where rare fish are more frequent.

Become a fishing tycoon by starting your own Fishing Business! Generate passive income to fuel your adventures.

  • Access: Manage your business via the "My Businesses" button on /fish stats or after using /fish cast.
  • Purchase: Start your first business (e.g., Fishing Fleet, Market Stall) for a significant coin investment.
  • Passive Income: Businesses generate income automatically over time based on their level and specific upgrades (like Boats, Nets, Engines, Workers for the Fleet).
  • Collect Income: Manually collect your earnings using the "Collect Income" button in the business management view.
  • Upgrades: Invest more coins to upgrade your business components (e.g., buy more Boats, improve Nets) to increase income generation rate and capacity. Access via the "Manage Upgrades" button.
  • Multiple Businesses: You can own and manage different types of businesses simultaneously (e.g., Fleet, Market).

Strategy: Reinvesting your profits into business upgrades is key to maximizing your passive income stream!

Running a Business

Invest your hard-earned cash into businesses to generate passive income. Different businesses offer varying returns.

Use /business buy [business_name] to purchase a business and /business list to see available options and your current holdings.

**Passive Income:** Your businesses generate income automatically over time. **This income is automatically claimed and added to your balance every minute**, even if you're not actively playing!

Upgrade your businesses using /business upgrade [business_name] to increase their profitability.
